Michael Shiffman, a former senior producer at ESPN, has been hired to be the senior vice president and executive producer for FanDuel TV, the channel formerly known as TVG that currently devotes the vast majority of its live sports coverage to horse racing. Shiffman, who during his 24-year career at ESPN was involved in many of the network’s flagship productions, will “be responsible for leading the creative and operational direction of FanDuel TV’s sports and racing programming,” FanDuel said in a release. He will report to Mike Raffensperger, the network’s president of sports. FanDuel runs one of the leading mobile sportsbook applications in the United States. Last year, it began creating original content focusing on sports betting, but the network remains the leading provider of live-racing coverage in the country. “Throughout his career, [Shiffman] has led countless high-profile productions for the industry's most distinguished shows, programming and live events,” said Raffensperger, in a release. “His invaluable experience and keen expertise were the perfect fit to maintain FanDuel TV’s continued growth and elevate the network’s opportunities as a leading player in sports betting media.” :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
