DEL MAR, Calif. - Du Jour was seventh behind a line of horses with three furlongs remaining in Sunday’s $104,000 Wickerr Stakes at Del Mar when Juan Hernandez began to anticipate the moves of his rival jockeys. “I felt like I had a lot of horse and I was waiting for someone to make a move and to follow them,” he said. When the field reached early stretch, the opportunity arose when Evening Sun moved to the outside and Cathkin Peak moved to the inside. Du Jour had racing room. “That helped me,” Hernandez said. “The horse was ready for today.” :: Get Del Mar Clocker Reports straight from the morning workouts at the track.
