The good news, though, is he bounced back to rally for second here April 17, indicating that poor March 29 run was an aberration. After all, his only win came in a race washed off the turf onto a sloppy main track on Feb. 15 at Gulfstream Park. He was no factor when last seen on turf here April 1, but this wonderfully bred 3-year-old returns as a gelding (and with that pedigree you know gelding him was a last resort) with a significant drop. – Michael Hammersly 5:15 p.m. Eastern Will Rogers Downs 7th race –  IMA DISCREET LADY (#1, 7-2) might offer slightly higher odds than the listed price and ought to have a quick, contested pace at which to run. Only three starts since July making her a lightly raced 4-year-old with some upside. – Marcus Hersh 5:54 p.m. Eastern Fonner Park 3rd race – WITT’S DATA LINK (#5, 10-1) won’t be as high a price as the morning line but still ought to offer at least a touch of value. Think the stretch out from six furlongs to a mile is more positive than negative and after wheeling back on a week’s rest last time, she has a nice break into this start. – Marcus Hersh 6:48 p.m. Eastern Fonner Park 5th race – BE MY SHADOW (#3, 3-1), a seven-time Fonner winner, could fall into a favorable trip stalking dueling leaders and seems to be headed toward a peak performance. – Marcus Hersh
