Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 2:13 BAQ 4th DUSK (#1, 6-1) ran well despite getting rained off the turf in her first two starts as a juvenile; looked good when she finally did get to run on this surface, as she sat a trip and settled things quickly when asked in the stretch; has had some trouble in her turf starts so far this year vs tougher competition, including that last one when never in position after a poor start and the failing to fire; drops with speed from the inside. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:29 LRL 5th IKIGAI (#8, 15-1) ran some fast races sprinting on grass during the spring and summer of 2023, but might have been overmatched in his last four turf appearances when dismissed at 24-1 or greater each time. Battled with 4-1 third-finisher Fore Harp when entered for the $62,500 claiming option at New York on 7/6, then tired badly against Senbei, who then ran third in Monmouth's Select Stakes with a 92 Beyer before capturing the Grade 3 Belmont Turf Sprint with a 98. Seems a nice fit at this level for barn that went 3 for the last 15 (20%, $2.72 ROI) off the claim. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:45 BAQ 5th PROMDATEBONNIE (#7, 12-1) is bred for more distance, so the sprint debut is hard to hold against her, particularly after she went right back to the sidelines for seven months after; went long in a tough MSW field in her first start back and was caught chasing outside on a day when saving ground was an advantage; only drops slightly with a chance to show more at a price. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:00 LRL 6th SIR CHANCE A LOT (#12, 8-1) set a pressured pace inside the odds-on third-finisher, made an early lead change when floating off the inside on the turn, then steadily tired at Delaware. Good to see him back on short notice, and he might have enough speed to get close to the pace despite breaking from a tough post. Barn sent out a couple of winners on 10/19, including 3-1 Morning Thoughts at Laurel. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:40 KEE 6th Street Sense just an average debut sire but SYCAMORE SHOALS (#1, 6-1) has some precocity and dirt speed on her dam's side and might be "live" in her debut for a hot barn. One workout video, from Oct. 18 at KEE, and she traveled encouragingly, appeared to finish with a lot of power while not being asked at all. -Marcus Hersh | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:49 BAQ 7th DAUFUSKIE ISLAND (#6, 5-1) was entered for a $32k tag last week (as part of a three-horse entry) before scratching to await this; could likely benefit from some class relief, but he has been racing in very good form for most of the year without winning, and he owns a top race that will make him competitive here at a fair price. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:35 LRL 9th VICTORY BADGE (#9, 8-1) saved ground near the back in recent synthetic heat at Presque Isle, made a solid three-wide bid on the second turn, then got up for second behind Candy Reward, who then won the HPBA Stakes there with an 87 Beyer. Lone victory came over this turf course. She has the tactical speed to find good stalking position. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:44 KEE 8th Even on a course that has helped front-running horses at various times this October, there might be too much pace entered in the Thursday feature. Will side with closers but taking far longer price ALL I WANT IS YOU (#1, 10-1) over morning-line favorite OEUVRE. All I Want Is You has a win over the course and shows long-term steady improvement. She hit a level in that Colonial win that suggests she's good enough to capitalize here if things break her way. -Marcus Hersh | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:56 WO 3rd CRUMLIN BEAST (#8, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:58 WO 5th GALLEY HEAD (#5, 12-1) ran well for second against $15K NW3 male opposition in her first start for Begg three weeks ago and would appear to be a good fit in this starter/optional claimer. She owns the highest last-out Beyer in the field. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:57 WO 7th CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY (#3, 8-1) blew a clear lead in the stretch when second in her penultimate race around two turns on the inner turf. She wasn't as effective most recently in a long sprint on the Tapeta and should be content getting back on the inner course in the third race of her form cycle. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:59 RP 2nd In her last two starts, MOR BIG LEE (#2, 4-1) has run well at a distance similar to this one and the trip can be a demanding one. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets
