Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:56 LRL 2nd PRINCESS JAVONCIA (#5, 3-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman).  | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:05 WO 1st WITCH HAZEL (#2, 8-1) has worked impressively in advance of her third start of the season and could run big on the turnback from a mile to the more suitable distance of three-quarters. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:34 MTH 3rd ABE HONESTLY (#8, 8-1) has been a new horse in has last couple after switching back to the grass, coming off a win two back and a good runner-up effort in his latest; a slow start cost him early position there but given a clean getaway he figures to be well spotted just off the pacesetters. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:49 GP 3rd COUNTLESS DREAMS (#7, 8-1) was beaten just over a length for everything last out in her first start of the year. She would seem to have reason to move forward in her second race back. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:01 MTH 4th LOVERBOY LOU (#7, 15-1) cuts back from a route to a sprint in his first start off the Bonnie Lucas claim and he should fall into an ideal trip behind a contested pace in this sprint, which features no shortage of speed; should be rolling late if the race flow develops as expected. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:37 CBY 2nd UNSTOPPABLE FORCE (#5, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:42 WO 4th ROCK BULLET (#5, 15-1) is a DRF Best (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:45 GP 5th ANOTHERDAYGONEBY (#2, 4-1) is bred to make good use of the bit of added real estate she picks up in this spot. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:55 MTH 6th RAINBOW TROUT (#8, 8-1) was no threat in that last one but she had already proven she doesn't really care for a wet track, and she closed with some interest there after she was caught down inside; prior try good enough to win this, and though she was aided by a favorable race flow this could be a similar situation. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:00 SAR 4th CHAMPAGNE POETRY (#5, 10-1) ran quite well in her career debut on turf, then improved more than it may appear to win her next start on this surface while staying determinedly to just get up; has been in way too tough in all four dirt starts since; protected off the claim for Handal, who is 19% with a strong $3.12 ROI first off the claim in dirt sprints, and he had a 20/1 winner in that sample switching from turf to dirt early in the meet. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:51 MTH 8th UNPRECEDENTED (#2, 15-1) had trouble at the start of that turf try last time but he probably needed that race anyway, as that was his first start off a long layoff; back on the main track here and trainer Frank Russo excels with horses moving from turf to dirt, and if this gelding can avoid a race-long duel he could surprise with a late run. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:52 CBY 4th LINE TO GAIN (#1, 9-2) ran much better in his last two starts and both came on the dirt yet this is on the turf. His turf debut three back had this guy beating zero home but did you see the trouble he had? You can absolutely toss that try. We love this inside post. The later we get into the year, the better these 3YOs are going to get. The jock switch to HH rounds out the appeal. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:21 WO 7th RAT PORTAGE (#1, 10-1) was competitive vs. maiden special and OS/$40K maidens last year. He faded to finish a distant third as the chalk when descending to this $25K class off a long layoff June 2, and has worked twice since for a capable trainer who's removing the hood. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:52 CBY 6th FORTY STRANGERS (#6, 9-2) broke 8th of 9 in his debut but still ran OK while beating four home. That was as a 2YO so he is more mature now which also means faster. Works are perfect. We love this outside post and this gelding gets Lasix for the first time. Class drop hints at the money run. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:16 SAR 8th Thought ATLANTA'S ACUNA (#7, 8-1) ran pretty well first time out when trying to contend up the rail in the stretch; bumped into a sharp front-running winner when stretched to this distance for his second start (Quick to Accuse went on to finish second in the Sleepy Hollow, then fourth in the Grade 2 Remsen); turf to dirt finally getting some class relief on this surface, and he has some speed. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:33 LAD 2nd SODDY DAISY (#4, 8-1) took a while to break her maiden but she has now won two of her last three. She broke 8th of 10 in her return try or that would have been better. We like that connections want this tricky distance right back. Form cycle hints at better as this filly goes third off the layoff. This barn is 20% with horses that won their last race. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:49 SAR 9th THE GREY WIZARD (#7, 8-1) has run pretty well in his few graded stakes attempts to this point, including that last one when going two miles and finishing up well for second behind a specialist at that distance; still has some room to improve and he finishes strong in his races, no matter the distance; happy to take him over the known quantities in this field, though he obviously has his work cut out for him vs. likely favorite REBEL'S ROMANCE. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:01 LAD 3rd BERNIECE (#2, 6-1) has improved her Beyer in every start. Class drop and second off the layoff are good but more so is the fact that Guerrero retains the mount. She adds a half furlong and according to her 390 distance Tomlinson that is for the best. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:09 CBY 5th SONG OF FIRE (#8, 5-1) scored a $28.40 upset last out at Santa Anita; the veteran mare faces similar claiming rivals in this turf mile that has sufficient pace to flatter her closing rally. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:59 WO 14th ROOKIE RADAR (#2, 8-1) lacked room heading into the far turn en route to ending up third for the second straight time at this $15K NW2 class July 7. He's changing apprentices to the 10-pound bug Sanchez for the stretchout from 7 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/16 miles on the inner turf. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 10:09 DMR 11th CLASSICALLY (#8, 5-1) drops from special-weight maiden races and returns to preferred turf footing. The gelding often finds trouble (clipped heels, stumbled, bobbled, steadied), but he has enough ability to maybe squeak out a victory first time in for a tag. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
