Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:14 GP 3rd FEARLESS GIRL (#2, 9-2) ran evenly in her debut and got a little play at almost 5-1. She gets off the rail and has a recent work. Both sibs beat winners. BOCA is by a 7% debut sire. Her dam went 9-1-0-0 and earned 42K. All 3 sibs won including a multiple winner of 48K. Works are well spaced and we like the outside draw for the distance. -Scott Ehlers 1:39 MTH 3rd BUMPERDOO (#6, 10-1) was at a pace disadvantage in that last one, when behind Croatian, after a key late scratch left the eventual winner as the main speed in the race and he was able to set his own pace en route to a gate-to-wire score; this gelding showed some late interest but was left with too much to do, and he can improve today if the race flow is more to his liking. -Kenny Peck 1:50 GP 4th DUCHOSSOIS (#10, 15-1) is the value, right? He won his debut back in ‘18 and that was going two turns on the turf at Arlington where he got a 70 Beyer. That makes sense as turf breeding is just good. So what happened since? We surmised something went amiss in his second start as it was followed up by a long layoff. He showed speed in third start but that was on the dirt off said layoff so excusable. Another layoff and two local grass starts since. We love that this horse puts three races together and we think new barn is being careful with this guy. -Scott Ehlers 2:04 MTH 4th MILLIES PARTY BOY (#2, 6-1) has certainly had his chances but he has run some solid races in defeat this summer, and that includes his latest, even though it was switched to the main track; back on the grass here and perhaps he has finally found the right field, as his best Beyers are good enough to get him home first. -Kenny Peck :: Want to get your Past Performances for free? In addition, she saved ground in mid-pack behind a slow pace that was controlled by the top two finishers. She’s won sprinting in the past so don’t mind the cutback in distance, but she’ll need to stay close to the expected moderate pace. -Dan Illman 2:29 MTH 5th WHO’S OUT (#6, 6-1) was forced to race further off the pace than usual in his latest, a sprint that was loaded with pace and set up well for the closers (note the inverted “C” in DRF pp line); he can be expected to be on or near the lead in this race, which is lighter on speed, and he can steal it if he can get away with an uncontested lead. -Kenny Peck 3:10 LRL 6th BELLA BETTINA (#11, 8-1) broke slowly when stretched out around two turns, was outrun behind some fast fractions, made an early three-wide move on the backstretch, swung five wide turning into the stretch and flattened out in the final furlong in a race that is better than it looks on paper. She’s had time to recover from that effort and should come running late turning back to this shorter sprint. -Dan Illman :: Click to learn about our DRF's Free Past Performance program. 4:41 MTH 10th Thought PANAMA PAPERS (#12, 20-1) showed deceptive good late interest while down inside in the stretch last time, when behind several of these same rivals, and he had an excuse two back when he made a middle move into a controlled pace; today’s extended distance should work to his advantage and he should be a very nice price once again. -Kenny Peck 4:59 GP 10th VALIANT APPEAL (#4, 6-1) should be a good price as Texas and Oklahoma lines are looked down upon by south Florida bettors. Will Rogers racing was better this year but more so at Sam Houston. This gelding has fresh speed but can stalk just as easily. Restricted foes even here is a class drop. -Scott Ehlers 5:01 LAD 3rd BLAISING GUITAR (#9, 12-1) just won easy and did so first out for Asmussen. Nobody and we mean nobody has been better on the local turf than this barn. Class jump is actually a plus as it helps the price. Enough pace to ensure a good stalking trip. Oh, this gelding has won on the grass before and for the record we think he is actually better on the green. -Scott Ehlers :: Start earning weekly cashback on your wagering today. Once again, he draws outside but this time getting more pace to chase. We love the jock switch to Dominguez. Don’t sleep on this barn in stakes races. -Scott Ehlers 5:39 GP 9th MARCH TO THE ARCH (#1, 5-2) wasn’t far off Wise Dan’s one-mile course record after rallying stoutly from last to win the local prep for this G1 stakes, the G2 King Edward. The hard-knocking 5yo has some speed to close at under money rider Husbands, who takes over from Hernandez. -Ron Gierkink 5:55 LAD 5th ALLIACEOUS (#8, 15-1) is double digits on the morning line as is our other picks so exotics a must. This filly is feeling great. How often do you get a price on a horse that hasn’t lost in three starts? She has improved her Beyer in every start. She can fire fresh and has won all of her races with something left. Last start was back in July so why can’t she be even better now? One work? There is little doubt that she is working somewhere. -Scott Ehlers 6:45 GP 11th DERZKII (#2, 20-1) finished on the fringes behind the likes of Gretzky the Great and Dragon’s Brew in his two outings on the Tapeta. His dam was a turf specialist. -Ron Gierkink 7:15 LAD 8th BERTIE’S GALAXY (#9, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). 7:15 WO 12th EXECUTIVE SEARCH (#11, 6-1) was stuck in traffic through the stretch before finishing a lapped-on fourth in a recent turf experiment. He won his two previous races on the Tapeta. -Ron Gierkink
