Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 11:50 AQU 1st RYAN'S CAT (#1, 10-1) ran a couple of very fast races vs. claimers on this track back in 2021, then spent the next two tears facing much tougher horses, and often racing competitively; is finally back at the right level, and he ran well in a tough $16k claimer two back; drops back down with speed after catching the kind of wet track that he does not act over last time. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:20 AQU 2nd FOUR EYES (#5, 10-1) wasn't quite good enough to break through at the MSW level, though he ran well in his first three starts sprinting, before being eased off when trying a mile last January; bumped into a blowout, front-running winner when dropped for the first time, then finished a decent third behind two MSW class-droppers before the long layoff; was not sharp at all in his first start back but capable of better and in the right kind of spot if he just needed that last one. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:39 GP 2nd STRAIGHT ARROW (#1, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:55 LRL 4th GRAND MANNER (#2, 9-2) needs a wakeup call, and double-dropping to the bottom might help him find the speed that was his calling card for most of last year. Broke inward a bit from the rail last time in a race run through a driving snowstorm, seemed sluggish while they ran 1-2 around the track, swung widest, then rallied belatedly for fourth. Think he can get a good deal closer to the pace. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:44 TAM 6th IMPLICATED (#3, 6-1) doesn't have the Beyers of some of the other top contenders in this Grade 3 Endeavour Stakes but she could have a pace advantage, as she has a hint of early speed and this is a race that's lacking a clear-cut pace scenario; may be good enough to steal this if she can shake loose without much pressure and back down the fractions. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:17 TAM 7th ROUKI (#7, 8-1) debuts for trainer Gerald Bennett, who always has to be taken very seriously with firsters here; dam was best on the turf but this colt is kin to Ready On the Line, who posted his lone win on the main track. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:24 AQU 8th MURRAY (#2, 8-1) never quite put it all together after a blowout debut win for Baffert, though he seemed to have trouble putting races together at that time, and he did run another fast race in his lone appearance as a 3yo; has been racing in excellent form for this trainer in Maryland and don't think he wanted the mile last time when weakening as the favorite; cuts back for the move up in class. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:34 OP 7th I'M THE BOSS OF ME (#7, 8-1) is a class play as one who has placed in four stakes. AUNT BECCA has natural speed and a post that might give Hernandez options. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:38 GP 8th PHAROAH'S WINE (#4, 6-1) second best behind Buchu making stakes bow ion the Jessamine, the latter not badly beaten in the BC Juv Fillies Turf. Ran well wheeling back on dirt to close out 2-year-old campaign, training forwardly for local bow while getting Saez for the occasion. Lures Saez, should offer some value as one of many logical contenders in wide open event. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:48 LRL 8th Fishing for a price with CLASSY SOLUTION (#2, 8-1) who must improve off a dull run in final start of 2023. Outsprinted early to a loose pocket spot behind the favored pacesetting winner, he eased off the rail turning for home and never threatened. He has shown good speed on occasion, however, and might have enough to grab the early lead against this crew. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:55 AQU 9th UNCLE HEAVY (#8, 10-1) flashed potential while shaking free with time before dueling down a 1/5 favorite to prevail in the sprint debut; had an excuse two back when blowing the start, then overcame a wide trip to win his two-turn debut last time; this is tougher but he might be this good and his professionalism might give him an edge if this pace gets fast, as projected. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:17 TAM 9th ONE TOUGH DAME (#9, 10-1) was behind PRETTY'N AWESOME in that last meeting but she ran much better than that running line might indicate, as she broke slowly from the rail before rushing up to reach contention, and she them showed late interest to get the place; can turn the tables given a better break. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:40 OP 11th LIBERAL ARTS (#6, 8-1) is proven at the Southwest level as a Grade 3 winner and he might get the right kind of pace to close into as there appears to be a good amount of speed in this spot. Further, LIBERAL ARTS also is proven at this mile and a sixteenth distance. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:24 OP 12th PLEDGEOFALLEGIANCE (#9, 5-1) was just edged last out in his first start since October. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:45 GG 5th O'BANION (#7, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Steve Andersen). | Bet this race with DRF Bets
