Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:00 WO 1st SILENT CREEK (#6, 4-1) lacked room in the stretch before closing for a neck loss when adding Lasix in a wake-up performance a month ago. The daughter of Silent Name shouldn't mind moving out from 7 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/16 miles here under regular rider Fukumoto. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:08 SAR 2nd ATLANTA'S ACUNA (#5, 4-1) has lots of works to indicate ample bottom for this first run for a trainer who's been terrific of late first time out. Two of his 3 sibs to race are winners Bustin to Please (14-6-2-2, $142K) and Mopolka (17-4-1-2, $118K). -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:14 MTH 5th BORN FOR VICTORY (#3, 5-1) is the first starter out of the dam, who was best routing, but she also won a sprint; this colt is working well enough and seems to meet an average field in her first start for trainer Claudio Gonzalez, wo does especially well with debut runners in maiden claimers. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:05 KD 4th SETNA THE WISE (#10, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:14 MTH 7th LITTLE JESSIE (#1, 7-2) gets the hedge, which may not be ideal given the gate issues she has endured in her recent tries, but if she can get away cleanly in the opening stages she figures to be tough to reel in at this reduced level; the fact that trainer Kent Sweezey wins at 25% with horses making this class drop adds to the appeal. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:39 KD 5th SHOGUN WARRIOR (#7, 10-1) rallied from 10th for a close fourth of 11 at 80-1 in his career debut and lone start at age 2; took a terrible DQ on May 30 at IND when an MSW winner; and had some trouble when beaten a head last out in an Ellis MSW. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:44 MTH 8th PRINCESS GEORGIA (#7, 4-1) was overmatched in the Eleven North, and a slow start didn't help her cause, but she ran well in the win two back, and she also put in deceptively good efforts in her prior few starts; she has won going long and she may be able to make the last run today if she gets ample pace to chase. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:14 MTH 9th MOHS (#4, 9-2) comes off a good 2nd in the Oceanport last time out, and the Beyer he posted in that race (and the last couple of figures he put up prior to that one) are plenty good enough to put him back in the winner's circle for the first time this year; lots of pace signed on for this Red Bank Stakes, and that should only work to his advantage. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:14 WO 7th BEN LOMOND (#3, 8-1) awaited room in mid-stretch while in the midst of his rally before kicking in to win a one-mile event at this level on the main course June 19. He finished fourth in each of his two subsequent starts sprinting, and could make the grade in this two-turn mile on the inner course. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:38 KD 7th LIVE WIRE (#6, 8-1) was rained off turf in career debut on Aug. 6 and showed next to nothing, but is bred top and bottom for grass and could prove an entirely different horse on the turf. Worked back twice and attracts a rider, Gaffalione, who appears to be in high demand this meet. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:00 DMR 3rd Based on his promising fourth-place debut in a similar maiden turf sprint, second-time starter TO SPEIGHT HER (#2, 6-1) gets the call. He chased a fast pacesetter first time, angled outside to briefly challenge, then tired. Solid effort. Trainer Andy Mathis is dynamite with second-start maidens. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:01 CNL 8th The sire Jimmy Creed has been kicking it with his grass runners, and PHARIBE (#1, 8-1), who took a solid second-start step forward when going sprint to route, gets his first shot on the grass. Hot apprentice rider gets him a five-pound break from everyone else. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:20 WO 9th EYES ON A TRAIN (#5, 6-1) has worked quickly on occasion. She's out of a fast stakes-winning sprinter who produced two runners who banked around $200K, including debut winner Forest Drift. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:29 CNL 9th DANNYHILL (#7, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:57 KD 9th Suppose the no-Lasix question arises with CATICHE (#8, 10-1) considering her performance April 2 and December 16. The latter, her second race, also was her last start without blinkers, and she ran all right in the Bourbonette on April 2 - just not up to the level of her two more recent starts, both on Lasix. Big number from the allowance win and she likely ran just as well with a lower figure (not accounting for ground loss) when stuck literally seven wide most of the first turn and four wide the second turn while chasing a slow pace. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:57 CNL 10th TORRE BRANCA (#9, 8-1) improved as soon as she was tried on turf in her third career start, and came with a rush she hadn't shown before when racing for the first time in blinkers last start. Connections give her a little class drop to strike while the iron is hot. Lively half-mile time in the Sept. 1 LRL work for this. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:11 SAR 11th Some highly promising juveniles take their shot at G1 brackets and the way BLAZING SEVENS (#6, 4-1) won his debut hints the son of 2yo champ Good Magic is poised for some big things. He cost $225K so there are expectations and he delivered in his debut here July 24, not only winning easily but winning geared down. -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:45 SAR 12th TOSCONOVA BEAUTY (#2, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Michael Hammersly). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
