He stumbled at the start in his most recent and actually went favored. Notice there is no panicky drop and Trejos stays put. This colt might have the best speed and goes second time this dirt. -Scott Ehlers 2:20 GP 5th GALILEOS BALLERINA (#2, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). 2:40 LRL 5th Think CONFECTIONER (#1, 9-2) ran better than it looks in lone turf outing. Bumped at the start and taken immediately to the inside at the back of the pack, he weaved his way through traffic to finish a solid fifth with a decent gallop-out. Claimed out of his last race, he returns to grass with the speed to get close to the pace given an alert break. -Dan Illman :: Want to get your Past Performances for free? Both the winner and runner-up from that race are now ten-time winners and Classy Solution now faces strict “non-winners of two” competition here. Drew a cozy inside post with good tactical speed for initial route outing, and his sire won at distances up to 1 5/16 miles. Looms a solid price for low-profile barn. -Dan Illman 3:36 BEL 6th LOWCOUNTRY (#6, 8-1) a Godolphin homebred by Frosted, who has the pedigree to be a fine turf sire, and out of a dam who was a three-time winner on the grass while also graded stakes-placed twice on the surface; half to four-time turf winner Charged, who also races for these connections. -Mike Beer 3:55 GP 8th STAR JUANCHO (#2, 6-1) blew the start in his turf debut last out so forget it. Second time with new barn can’t hurt and said barn is 27% turf to dirt. This horse has some back class and did win only two back. -Scott Ehlers 3:58 WO 6th I’M A GINGER (#9, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). :: Click to learn about our DRF's Free Past Performance program. 4:08 BEL 7th OUR TROUBADOUR (#12, 5-1) ran very well in back to back races sprinting on turf here earlier this summer, just missing after a race-long duel in June and then scoring easily from off the pace in July; faced much better when stepped up in class to earn a new top Beyer at Saratoga two back now takes the drops back down in class after losing all chance at the start trying a mile last time. -Mike Beer 4:19 LRL 8th It will be very interesting to see if MORGAN’S Z VA (#5, 8-1) will transfer her sharp synthetic form to this shorter turf sprint. Looked good beating two next-out winners in recent entry-level allowance at Presque Isle Downs. Broke well, settled into the pocket, received a sweet seam when splitting horses two-wide turning for home and was on her way. She’s shown middle-distance speed in the past, but think she’ll have to come from out of it here and will need to stay close to the expected moderate pace. -Dan Illman 4:30 WO 7th SPIDER DANCE (#4, 5-1) is picking up leading rider Stein off a slow-starting fourth behind two of her current rivals in a similar inner turf tilt Aug. 21. She got a break after wintering at the Fair Grounds, and this third start off the shelf figures to be a good one. -Ron Gierkink :: Start earning weekly cashback on your wagering today. K. ICHIKAWA (#3, 12-1) had a troubled trip first time out while finishing well for 3rd, and he faced a tough, class-dropping rival when weakening late on his second start; one more chance back on turf after getting rained off last time at Saratoga. -Mike Beer
