Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:20 AQU 1st NATURAL FACT (#1, 15-1) only went for $24k at the open OBS sale (for 2yos and horses of racing age) in June, but she looked pretty good breezing 21.3 and she does have some pedigree behind her - this is the female family of multiple Grade 1 winners and millionaires Starrer (third dam) and Stellar Jayne; Pregman has only had one first-time starter on dirt in the last five years (finished third at 13/1 odds). -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:25 LRL 1st TRITONE GAL (#4, 6-1) hasn't won in over two years, but exits a solid try late last month. Stalked the pacesetters from a loose pocket, was held up in behind horses on the turn and into the stretch, eventually got through in between rivals, then kicked on for second along the rail. She has some speed and can stay close to the leaders from tracking range. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:12 TAM 2nd SHUT IT CALI (#5, 9-2) is an upgrade candidate after racing off the pace against speed-favoring race flows in each of her last three starts before the layoff; there is some speed in this field and her stock only rises if she gets the trip behind a duel in the opening stages between a couple of those runners. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:22 LRL 3rd LOOSE GOOSE (#4, 9-2) makes circuit debut after solid victory at Delaware. Tracked from the pocket while racing just off the inside, went on a hard chase after the pacesetting runner-up, and willingly went by that foe in upper stretch. He's paired up Beyer tops in his last two races and can contend with a strong late kick. Lopez lands here instead of Bob Marco. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:34 WO 2nd CHELSEA DAGGER (#9, 5-1) ran third behind the heavily-favored Rocket Joe Copper in an identical spot when plunging in class off two straight good inner turf performances two weeks ago. He has some of the highest recent Beyers in the field and the capable bug Aebly rides him again. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:51 LRL 4th GOLDEN TABBY (#3, 5-1) bet down to odds-on in an off-turf heat at Delaware, prompted the pace from in between horses, took over from the three path outside the quarter pole, then always found a bit more despite the rider losing his stick at the eighth pole. The fourth-finisher from that race returned to win a second-level allowance on turf here with an 83 Beyer. He's handled seven furlongs in the past and can get close to the early lead. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:11 TAM 4th DOUBLE COSMO GIRL (#3, 15-1) doesn't have a great overall win percentage but she has only raced on the turf four times, and her figures on this surface put her squarely in the middle of this; away since September but training steadily toward this return. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:41 TAM 5th D BUCKAROO (#4, 12-1) is out of a dam who posted her lone win in a route, and her only foal to start has raced only once, but this colt merits a look against this seemingly average group in his debut thanks to a couple of works that suggest he has some ability; may be overlooked some in the wagering. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:44 AQU 6th SELF ISOLATION (#6, 8-1) picked a bad spot to try rating last time as she wound up getting wired at Laurel, though she did put in a game late finish to get herself into range after that winner opened a big stretch lead; was against dynamics in each of her last two starts and appears to be well-spotted here. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:49 LRL 6th EL DIVINO NINO (#1, 12-1) battled inside two others, then stayed on for third when returning to A sprint. Figures close to the pace for barn that went 15 for 57 (26%, $3.22 ROI) between 10/22 and 11/29. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:04 GP 7th DEMAR'S LEGACY (#7, 6-1) improved at second asking when switched to Tapeta when stalked and run down by 2-5 Great Venezuela but while clearly best of others. Worked well subsequent to that outing. Should sit a nice stalking trip, eligible to move forward making third start of form cycle. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:14 AQU 7th VENGE (#9, 5-1) was switched to turf recently, as he has no pedigree for that surface; thought he showed some potential in his debut despite looking green, and not sure he has has a fair chance on this surface since - chased a fast pace in a race that was won from last-to-first off the short layoff in April, then was no match for a 1/5 winner in his next start; turf to dirt taking the needed drop. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:34 GP 8th TAMARINDO (#2, 12-1) wheels back on very short rest off tough trip around two turns last weekend. A question mark on dirt although she works well over the surface and just may prove to be a one turn sprinter at heart. Figures to come running late, might just pull off the surprise at big balloons at her best. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:42 AQU 8th CAPONE (#6, 10-1) showed some early potential before failing to seriously contend in three straight starts before the layoff (one of those on turf); didn't run poorly first back from that long break when chasing all the way in his first start for Dutrow, and he was widest while involved in a strong pace in a race that won by a capable closer last time. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:03 GP 9th DEFENDED (#1, 12-1) makes third start of her form cycle. Was over-matched two back, showed off some of that speed when second best behind a rival who posted career best Beyer Figure to get the victory under slightly lesser tag on main last time. Shortens up to five-eighths could get very brave if able to come away running, clear off from her inside post. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:35 WO 8th TREBUCHET (#7, 5-1) closed for second in each of his last three outings, after a wide trip over an inside-biased track on the turn most recently. He could finally break through over another longtime maiden, the dropping JACK, who's turning back from nine to seven furlongs with Kimura getting the call. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:13 GG 6th NAN ELIZABETH (#6, 8-1) was a four-time winner at Emerald Downs in July and August, but the last few months have not been as productive with four consecutive losses, including a nose defeat in a starter allowance at Fresno as the 7-10 favorite on Oct. 6. Nan Elizabeth starts at the same level again in this sprint after unseating her jockey in an allowance race at Fresno on Oct. 14 and finishing last of five in a $20,000 claimer on Nov. 3. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:13 GG 8th DELUSIVELY (#8, 8-1), unraced second a second-place finish in the California Oaks for 3-year-old fillies in April, has worked well enough in recent weeks to indicate she will be closing in the final furlong of this allowance race at a mile. Trainer Jose Bautista does well with runners returning from lengthy layoffs. The California Oaks was a productive race. Smiling Lady, who finished third, returned to win an allowance race in her next start. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets 8:07 RP 1st COLOR ME LEGENDARY (#4, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mary Rampellini). | Bet this race with DRF Bets 10:55 RP 7th CANDY'S A DANDY (#6, 5-1) has moved forward with each of her starts at the meet and now is back with statebreds after representing herself quite well against open foes. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets
