Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:40 PIM 1st Several angles for TWITTY CITY (#4, 7-2) as he drops in class while moving from turf to dirt. He was put on a hard chase going after a favored gate-to-wire winner over this course and trip two back and might let others do the dirty work up front this time around. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  1:09 PIM 2nd Thought FED UP FIRED UP (#4, 5-2) ran well in the Dahlia off a 229-day layoff as she saved ground at the back, angled off heels in upper stretch and finished evenly on the outside. She was wired here last month when rallying belatedly in the stretch. Should appreciate today’s class drop and she’s won twice before in the third start of the form cycle. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  1:22 BEL 2nd WINDS OF CAPRI (#1, 8-1) raced greenly in her career debut before moving away from the strong rail in the stretch and winding up 2nd to a rival rallying inside late, then stumbled at the start and was eliminated by a spill on the turn in her next start; cuts back switching surfaces and has the pedigree to handle this being from a dam who posted her lone career win sprinting on the grass (she earned Beyers of 81-90-87-84 in her four career turf starts) and is a sister to the excellent turf miler (and synthetic Breeders’ Cup Classic winner) Raven’s Pass. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  2:00 GP 1st BULK (#1, 7-2) was steadied in traffic in the stretch before ending up fifth when dropping to this $16K level second-time out a month ago. The Blame colt has worked twice in the interim, and could break through if things go his way in this five-furlong turf dash. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  2:28 GP 2nd CAJUN MANDATE (#4, 4-1) has worked fast for a trainer who’s had ample success with offspring of Cajun Breeze, who’s sired 12.5% 2yo debut winners. The homebred is a full-brother to sprinters Highwaytwentyseven ($63K) and Just Right Mike ($50K). -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  3:34 BEL 6th COLORMEPAZZI (#6, 8-1) was only facing two-life claimers last time but he appeared to really appreciate getting cut back to sprint for the first time in nearly a year and a half while showing good speed and dusting that field with a new top figure; steps right up in a race that does not project to be run at a fast pace. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  3:43 PIM 7th WALK AWAY JOE (#4, 7-2) attempted to follow TITAN’S WILL’s cover three-wide on the second turn of most recent start, couldn’t keep up in upper stretch, swung four wide and was running on too late with a solid gallop-out. Might get a bit more pace to run at this afternoon. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  4:02 GP 5th KLEON (#5, 6-1) manhandled $12.5K maidens going three-quarters second-time out May 16, and would appear to a good fit in this bottom NW2 tilt. The son of Jack Milton is bred to handle the stretchout to a mile and retains Sutherland, who’s 3 for 9 for the barn. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  4:15 PIM 8th PATHWAY TO VICTORY (#1, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). | Get PPs for this race  4:40 BEL 8th BAYERNESS (#4, 10-1) started out with plenty of promise while winning both starts as a 2yo, including a game effort to close down Swiss Skydiver in the slop; concentrated on longer races last year to no avail, but she returned from the layoff with her best effort so far to put up a new top figure while chasing wide throughout; interesting at what should be a fair price. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 5:00 MTH 1st DISCO EBO (#3, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race  5:15 BEL 9th CIVIL UNION’s (#6, 12-1) return in the Beaugay appeared to be a pure prep going shorter than she prefers, ad she stayed outside and made a mild move around the turn, before flattening out readily; got good with distance last year while winning four in a row, including the Grade 1 Flower Bowl over course and distance, and she stays strongly in her races. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 6:22 BEL 11th EMPHASIZE (#7, 12-1) switched to the grass for the first time most recently and he came wide from the back before racing on gamely late in a race that was controlled up front by a favored winner; stretches out. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 6:30 MTH 4th CUTTER HELM (#4, 5-2) not only has some of the better Beyers in the race but he has tactical speed and figures to get first run at likely pacesetter Free Flayme, and if these two can set a controlled pace from the start that would give the two of them an edge on the closers. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
