WILMINGTON, Del. — Acting on the recommendation of Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission Veterinarians, the Saturday program at Delaware Park was postponed due to excessive heat.  The scheduled ten-race program, featuring four stakes races, was rescheduled for Monday afternoon. First post is 12:30 p.m. Eastern. The National Weather Service issued an Excessive Heat Warning until 8pm Saturday evening citing “Dangerously hot conditions with heat values up to 108.” Racing at Delaware is scheduled to resume on Sunday afternoon with a ten-race program that includes the Grade 2, $500,000 Delaware Handicap. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
