SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Dean Henry gave trainer Tom Albertrani his first win of the meet when outfinishing Yet Again to register a head decision in Monday's $82,950 Saratoga Dew Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares. My Dinah, who opened a seemingly insurmountable lead at midstretch, faltered suddenly in late stretch and finished another head further back in third. Dean Henry, a homebred daughter of Empire Maker owned by Larry Goichman, overcame early trouble before splitting rivals and finishing best of all under jockey Rajiv Maragh. Dean Henry covered 1 1/8 miles over a fast track in 1:51.43 and paid $19. Borrowing Base, the tepid 5-2 favorite, broke poorly and finished a disappointing fifth in the scratched-reduced field of six. * Platinum ($3.10) stamped herself an up and comer in the 3-year-old filly division after cruising to an easy 3 3/4-length victory over Stone Legacy in the $71,250 Mollie Wilmot Stakes. The win was the third straight for the daughter of Mineshaft who was ridden to victory by leading rider Ramon Dominguez for trainer Jimmy Jerkens.
