Connors Outlaw left the competition in his wake Tuesday, when he roared to a 5 1/2-length win over Our Cornerstone in the $55,000 TRAO Classic Sprint at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla. It was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third to C W Prize. The TRAO Classic was a six-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up bred in Oklahoma. Connors Outlaw ($3.60) broke from the rail under Leandro Goncalves and proceeded to set fractions of 21.98 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.95 for the half-mile. Kari Craddock trains Connors Outlaw for his breeders, Cisper Racing. The son of Cinco Charlie won his first stakes race in the TRAO Classic Sprint. Connors Outlaw is now 7 for 15 for earnings of $200,641. The win was the second on the day for Cisper Racing and the third on the card for both Craddock and Goncalves.   Connors Outlaw was moving back into Oklahoma-bred company after winning a two-other-than allowance over open company in November at Remington and finishing fourth in another allowance Feb. 4 at Sam Houston Race Park. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
