LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Before the Breeders’ Cup Classic, trainer Eric Reed was not considering a run in the Nov. 25 Clark at Churchill for Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike. But after Rich Strike ran a creditable fourth behind Flightline in the BC Classic last Saturday at Keeneland, Reed is thinking seriously about the Grade 1 Clark to end the colt’s 3-year-old season. “He came out of the Classic really, really good,” Reed said earlier this week from his Mercury training center in Lexington, Ky. “If he trains well, we may run. We’ll just have to watch him. He sure acts like he was ready to go back on a quick turnaround.” :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
