It’s My Money, winner of the $65,000 Pan Zareta division of the Texas Stallion Stakes last month at Lone Star Park, is being pointed to the $100,000 fillies division of the Texas Thoroughbred Futurity, trainer George R. Bryant said. The 5 1/2-furlong race is July 14 at Lone Star. It’s My Money broke from the rail in the Pan Zareta, set the pace, and prevailed by a half-length in the five-furlong race June 23. “That was her first out,” Bryant said. “She’s a good-minded filly. I didn’t think she needed an out, and we thought we’d go right into the stakes. She’d been training good. It looks like she’s got a lot of talent.” It’s My Money races for Don Leach and Andrew Moran. She was a $53,000 purchase at the Texas Thoroughbred Association auction of 2-year-olds in training in April. For the sale, she worked an eighth-mile in 10.60 seconds at Lone Star. “She looked good doing it,” Bryant said. “She’s a good-made filly, good conformation and all. We were looking for a good Texas-bred filly and thought she was the best one at the sale.” It’s My Money is a daughter of Early Flyer and a half-sister to stakes winner Archer City. Bryant said Tell Me U Love Me, who was fourth in the Pan Zareta, is being considered for a start in the Texas Thoroughbred Futurity. She is a half-sister to stakes winners Shocktime and Kat’s Infatuation. “I think she’s going to be a late bloomer,” Bryant said of Tell Me U Love Me, who races for HDT Allied Management. My Bling, a 3-year-old for HDT Allied Management, could make his next start in the $50,000 Assault, a mile turf race for Texas-breds on July 14 at Lone Star. He is coming off a dead-heat win in a conditioned allowance sprint against open company. My Bling earned a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 83. “We might try him in the Assault,” Bryant said. “He’s never been on the grass. We’ll see if he likes it. He’s really maturing.” My Bling won an allowance earlier in the meet over Texas-breds. He won his maiden last year at Retama Park in a division of the Texas Stallion Stakes. Following the July 21 close of the Lone Star meet, Bryant plans to race some horses at Retama then set up his stable at Remington Park. ◗ Lone Star will have fireworks after the races on both Thursday and Friday night, track official Bart Lang said. First post for each program will be 5 p.m. Central.
