British Idiom, champion 2-year-old filly of 2019, is likely to make her next start in the Fantasy Stakes at Oaklawn Park, trainer Brad Cox said Wednesday. The Fantasy and the rest of the later Oaklawn stakes schedule could be subject to revision following the cancellation of the Keeneland spring meet and the postponement of races like the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks. British Idiom finished second to Finite in the Rachel Alexandra, her 2020 debut, and wasn’t entered March 14 in the Fair Grounds Oaks as her connections kept an eye on the Ashland Stakes, a race that fell off the table with Keeneland’s decision to abandon its meet. Cox also plans to send Warrior’s Charge from New Orleans to Arkansas for the Oaklawn Handicap. Warrior’s Charge won the Razorback Handicap at Oaklawn in his most recent race, after which he returned to Fair Grounds, where he has been working toward another Oaklawn journey. :: To stay up to date, follow us on: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter
