The All Turf Pick 4 was inaugurated in 2022 when the Breeders’ Cup was at Keeneland Racecourse, which has a 22 percent takeout for pick four wagers. That year, the bet drew handle of $615,867, according to charts, on a 50-cent bet. The total number of runners in the four-race sequence was 53. In 2023, Breeders’ Cup added the All Dirt Pick 4 to the Saturday menu for the first time. That bet drew $437,189 in wagers at a 50-cent minimum, while the All Turf Pick 4 drew $652,214, a 5.9 percent increase over the 2022 handle for the bet.
