Beth’s Dream won her third consecutive race Sunday when she comfortably held off a stretch bid from Charlie’s Wish for a 2 3/4-length victory in the $75,000 My Pal Chrisy at Gulfstream Park. It was another 4 1/2 lengths back in third to Maryquitecontrary. The My Pal Chrisy was an overnight handicap for fillies and mares. It was run at a mile and the track was fast. Beth’s Dream took command from there, continuing to lead through a half-mile in 47.28 seconds and six furlongs in 1:11.34. She would go on to cover the one-turn distance in 1:36.35. Beth’s Dream came into the My Pal Chrisy off back-to-back wins over the local main track, one an allowance in March and the other the Mo’ Green overnight handicap in April. Both were at a mile and, with the victory Sunday, she improved her record at the distance to 7 for 8. The mile wins have all come at Gulfstream with the exception of the $100,000 Heavenly Cause at Laurel Park. She has now won 8 of 15 starts for earnings of $391,617. *** Gulfstream announced plans for a mandatory payout in the Rainbow 6 jackpot for next Sunday due to the end of the fiscal year. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
