Beth’s Dream moved closer to a potential start in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint with her four-length win in the $100,000 Sheer Drama Handicap on Saturday at Gulfstream Park. She broke on top in the Sheer Drama, and raced with Imonra through an opening quarter in 22.93 seconds. Beth’s Dream ($3.80) shook her pace rival through a half-mile in 45.87 and began to separate herself from her competitors in the later stages of the seven-furlong race. She covered the distance on a fast track in 1:23.05. Maryquitecontrary finished second, while it was another three-quarters of a length back in third to Charlie’s Wish. Beth’s Dream has now won 9 of 16 starts for earnings of $449,167. Earlier on the card, Chick’s Shadow rallied from off the pace to catch leader Swoonatra and win the $75,000 Frolic’s Revenge. Chick’s Shadow ($18.80) won the overnight handicap for fillies and mares by 1 3/4 lengths. She covered the one-mile and 70 yards on Tapeta in 1:41.43. Edgard Zayas was aboard the daughter of Seek Again for Dave McGinn and trainer Angel Rodriguez. Multiple winners in Rainbow 6 There was a mandatory payout in the Rainbow 6 jackpot on Saturday and it returned $6,325.70. There were multiple 6 of 6 tickets. Gulfstream posted on its simulcast feed that the pool reached more than $1.8 million. There was a carryover into the card of $189,837. The winning numbers from the sequence that ran on races 6-11 were 3-3-5-5-4-6.
