Race 1: #1 Remstin is going to win this race if he can still run, something that is in question at this point as he drops in class following a non-effort at Saratoga in his return from a long layoff. I'll use him but will try to beat him with #6 Northern Grey, who is wheeling back quickly for his second start for David Jacobson after stumbling badly at the start here eight days ago. If he breaks, he has the kind of speed that projects to play well in this field, and he is a big price on the morning line. Race 2: #6 Kulin Rock made a promising debut last month while getting untracked late and making ground from off the pace. He will be tough in this race with any improvement. My other horse is #8 Fallstar, who is making his first start off a 216-day layoff for Chad Brown. Fallstar ran well to be second behind West Coast when last seen, and while he has yet to race over turf, he is bred for it and appears to be training strongly into this race. Race 3: Like Fallstar in Race 2, #3 Expenside Taste is returning from a layoff to make her New York debut for a new trainer. She also ran very well in her lone career start as a 2-year-old, and her new trainer, Jason Servis, is excellent with new acquisitions. I'll try to get alive to her to close out the early pick three.
