Race 2: NEWS ANCHOR is hard to trust, having lost two in a row as an odds-on favorite, but it's not like he hasn't had some reasonable excuses, and he is the horse to beat once again as he looks to finally win his maiden. I'll press him, but since he does have those losses at low odds showing, I'll also play a ticket against him using SMOOTH MOVE, PERFECTEXPECTATION and WORK OF ART.   Race 3: My idea at a price in this race is BRANCATO. He is an unknown on dirt, but he has speed and resembles a horse named Derval, who was also second off a trainer change to David Cannizzo for this owner when he pulled off a 10-1 upset here on Wednesday.  Backups are MICOZZI and ARCHIVAL. Race 4: FAVORABLE OUTCOME finished behind HARLAN PUNCH when they met Sept. 30, but he was making his first start back from a layoff in that spot, and he also made the first move in that race to go contest the pace. He can turn the tables this time, and he is the main use in this race. SKYLER'S SCRAMJET was a big price when making it 2-for-2 for Michelle Nevin in his last start, but that was a fast pace, and he is a threat right back.   Race 5: I prefer the improving SILVER SHAKER for Chad Brown to close it out and will lean on her. PALINODIE and CHURCH SOCIAL are the backups.
