Jockeys Tyler Baze, Kazushi Kimura, and Joel Rosario have been suspended for recent riding violations, according to rulings published within the last week. Baze has been suspended one day, on June 5, and fined $500 for striking Come On Om seven times in the ninth race on May 17, one over the permitted limit. Come On Om finished second by a nose in a maiden race for California-bred fillies and mares. Rosario has been suspended two days, June 5 and 6, and fined $500 for striking Central Dispatch seven times in the fifth race on May 17. Rosario’s suspension is longer because it is a second recent offense, according to a ruling. Central Dispatch was second by a head in a $25,000 claiming race for turf sprinters. Kimura was suspended three racing days – June 6, 7, and 11 – for causing interference aboard Catch the Breeze shortly after the start of the seventh race on May 22. Catch the Breeze finished sixth of seven in an allowance race at 1 1/4 miles on turf. Through Monday, the most recent day of racing at Santa Anita, Kimura ranked fifth in the standings with 15 wins, five behind leader Armando Ayuso. Rosario has 10 wins, while Baze has 7. :: Play Santa Anita racing with confidence. Get DRF Past Performances, Clocker Reports, and more.
