OZONE PARK, N.Y. - The connections of Bank Frenzy, who won his third consecutive race when he captured the Stymie Stakes on March 1, appear to have picked out two one-mile races for their 5-year-old New York-bred gelding’s next two starts.  Bank Frenzy will return to statebred competition in the $125,000 Haynesfield Stakes on April 6, followed by a planned start in the Grade 3, $175,000 Westchester Stakes on May 4. After that, Bank Frenzy could stretch back out to 1 1/8 miles in the Commentator Stakes at Saratoga on June 4.  Bank Frenzy has four wins and two seconds from six starts since the horse was turned over to trainer Rudy Rodriguez following a private purchase by LSU Stables. Rodriguez felt the Stymie was his best performance for him.  “That’s the best I’ve seen him run for sure,” Rodriguez said. “He was training very good to the race, but to see him do what he did was very impressive. Those were solid horses. To see him draw the way he did it, and Bank Frenzy is a horse that he doesn’t give you what he’s got. When he gets to the lead, he kind of pulls himself up a little bit. The other day, Manny [Franco] was in control from the five-eighths pole.”  Bank Frenzy on Saturday worked a half-mile in 49.03 seconds over the Belmont Park training track.  :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
