Dynamic Thinker was unlucky not to win for a second time in his career last November and December in the weeks following a victory in a maiden race at Gold Coast Racecourse in Australia. Dynamic Thinker was beaten a nose on Nov. 21 and by a head on Dec. 21 before finishing last of 10 at 100-1 in the Group 3 Rogue Stakes at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Dec. 28. He was rested through the Australian summer and early fall leading to a comeback on Monday in a minor handicap at Ipswich Racecourse southwest of Brisbane. Trained by Les Kelly, Dynamic Thinker will have his sixth start in the six-furlong handicap, which will have a maximum field of 13 runners. Dynamic Thinker tends to run near the front and could be joined in that position by the 4-year-old filly Bay of Dragons who won a maiden race at 4 1/2 furlongs at Gold Coast on April 21 in her seventh start. Bay of Dragons was a close second in two maiden races at 5 1/4 furlongs in March after leading to the final strides.
