We have less than three weeks remaining in the college basketball regular season. College basketball national championship odds: Auburn (+375 at Caesars Sportsbook) The Tigers (23-2) are atop the Associated Press poll for the sixth straight week and currently are one of nine ranked teams from the juggernaut SEC. That includes five of the AP’s top seven.  Johni Broome and Co., are coming off a 94-85 win over No. 2 Alabama last weekend — one of a nation-best 14 Quadrant 1 victories for the program so far this season. Auburn also ranks atop the NCAA NET and guru Ken Pomeroy’s national efficiency ratings, setting the stage for what looks to be the program’s best shot at an NCAA Tournament title. College basketball national championship odds: Duke (+450 at FanDuel) That’s not the case for blueblood Duke, of course, which has appeared in 17 Final Fours and won five championships. But a decade has passed since the Blue Devils’ most recent title. However, freshman Cooper Flagg, the current Wooden Award favorite, and the current No. 3-ranked Duke crew just might change that.  The Devils are 23-3 and sit only behind Auburn in the NCAA NET and KenPom ranks. And they did hand the Tigers one of their two losses this season, prevailing 84-78 at home Dec. 4 in the SEC/ACC Challenge.  College basketball national championship odds: Houston (+900 at Fanatics) Veteran coach Kelvin Sampson and No. 5 Houston (22-4) just keep rolling along, ccurrently sitting atop the expanded Big 12 at 14-1. The Cougars have reached the Sweet 16 in each of the last five NCAA Tournaments, but they only have one Final Four appearance during that span. Houston is ranked No. 3 in both the NET and at KenPom.com, and this could be the crew that breaks through and wins the program’s first national title. College basketball national championship odds: Alabama (+1100 at BetMGM) Alabama played in the program’s first Final Four last April and is back among the nation’s elite with a 21-4 record and a No. 4 AP ranking. Coach Nate Oats’ Crimson Tide is an offensive machine, leading the nation in scoring with 90.3 points per game. But will that be enough to overcome the nation’s 39th-ranked defense (KenPom) and carry the program to its first men’s hoops championship?  College basketball national championship odds: Florida (+2000 at DraftKings) Coach Todd Golden’s second-ranked Gators (23-3) might be getting overlooked somewhat among all the SEC heavyweights. Florida, though, can match resumes with anyone, currently ranking among the nation’s top 11 in offensive and defensive efficiency and rebound margin. The Gators’ recent results offer even more proof. Florida has won eight of its last nine, including a 90-81 victory at Auburn on Feb. 8. At 20-1 odds, you can do much worse for a March dark horse.
