SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Artemis Agrotera showed she continues to thrive coming off her one-sided allowance win earlier this week by working five furlongs in 1:01.12 here Wednesday. Artemis Agrotera completed her final quarter-mile in 24.25 second under just mild urging before galloping out six furlongs in 1:13.69. “The work was pretty perfect,” trainer Mike Hushion said. “It was exactly what I wanted. She finished up well, galloped out strong, and is showing all signs that she’s still on her game.” Artemis Agrotera bounced back from a disappointing performance in the Grade 1 Acorn to dominate New York-bred allowance company by 10 lengths while posting a career-best 96 Beyer Speed Figure here on July 23. It was her second lopsided win at Saratoga over the past year. She won her maiden at first asking by 11 3/4 lengths here last summer. Hushion said he has yet to make a final decision on Artemis Agrotera’s next start, but said he is seriously considering the Grade 1 Ballerina on Aug. 23.
