ELMONT, N.Y. – The three-time stakes winner Red Carpet Ready was supplemented by her connections to Thursday’s $150,000 Jersey Girl Stakes at Belmont Park, but the filly who would likely be favored in the six-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies is not definite to run. The uncertainty of what’s happening in Kentucky led trainer Rusty Arnold and his owners, Bo Bromagen’s Ashbrook Farm, and Patrick Lewis’ Upland Flats Racing, to pay a $750 supplemental fee to make Red Carpet Ready eligible for the Jersey Girl. Arnold said he was planning to run Red Carpet Ready in the $175,000 Leslie’s Lady overnight stakes at Churchill Downs on June 11. When it was announced Friday afternoon that Churchill would cease racing following Sunday’s card and run the remainder of its meet at Ellis Park, it wasn’t clear if all the stakes would be moved to Ellis or not. It is expected that the Leslie’s Lady will be run at Ellis on June 11. :: Take your handicapping to the next level and play with FREE DRF Past Performances - Formulator or Classic.  However, Arnold noted that Red Carpet Ready is 3 for 3 at Churchill and has never raced at Ellis. Arnold said he wanted to look over the field for the Jersey Girl before deciding whether to ship to New York or remain in Kentucky. “I’m not sure I won’t come [to New York],” Arnold said. “I want to see who’s in it, where I draw.  It was easy to run her here where she’s 3 for 3 over the track, [2 for 2] at the distance. I got to weigh all the options, it’s a 50-50 deal.” Red Carpet Ready drew the rail in a field of seven entered for the Jersey Girl, which is a steppingstone to the Grade 1 Test at Saratoga on Aug. 5. The Jersey Girl attracted Chocolate Gelato, who won the Grade 1 Frizette at Aqueduct last fall but who hasn’t run since finishing 12th in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland. Also entered were Girl Trouble, a five-time winner who was entered in New Jersey-bred stakes at Monmouth Sunday, L Street Lady, third in the Miss Preakness, Unified Alliance, and Wildhawk. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
