OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Though live racing is canceled at Aqueduct on Wednesday, the building will be open for simulcasting, New York Racing Association officials announced Wednesday morning. The Belmont Café will also be open and will offer wagering on Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs among other signals. Internet and telebet wagering will also be available on out-of-state signals. A snowstorm that dumped about 8 to 10 inches of snow in the New York city area had cleared out by early Wednesday morning and live racing is expected to resume at Aqueduct on Thursday. NYRA officials announced Tuesday that Wednesday’s program would be scrapped. It was the second card of the meet canceled due to weather. * The storm also forced Parx Racing outside of Philadelphia to cancel its live card.
