Al Corrado, one of Ohio’s top breeders and president of the Ohio Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners in 1989-1990, died Saturday at the Cleveland Clinic at age 83.Corrado bred and raced Star Of the Night, Ohio horse of the year in 1992. Another of his top statebreds was two-time champion filly Cut the Cuteness, who won 12 stakes. He also bred and raced graded stakes winner Dynamite Lass, who won the grade 111 The Very One stakes at Gulfstream Park.Corrado, a graduate of Ohio University, was a member of the OU board of trustees.A memorial service for Corrado will be held Friday at 11 A.M. at Christ Episcopal Church, 3445 Warrensville Rd, Shaker Heights Ohio.
