SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Search Results, the Grade 1 Acorn winner and Kentucky Oaks runner-up, will be put away for the remainder of the year and be pointed to a 4-year-old campaign in 2022, trainer Chad Brown said over the weekend. Brown said there is “nothing serious” amiss with Search Results, he just believes the 3-year-old daughter of Flatter is feeling the effects of a strong six-race campaign that began in South Florida in January and included victories in the Busher at Aqueduct in March, the Grade 3 Gazelle at Aqueduct in April, and the Grade 1 Acorn at Belmont in June. In between the Gazelle and Acorn, Search Results was beaten a neck by Malathaat in the Kentucky Oaks. Most recently, Search Results finished third in the Grade 1 Test here Aug. 7. “She just looks like a horse that needs a break,” Brown said. “She’s been going a while now.” Brown said next year he looks forward to running Search Results a distance of ground. “I’m really looking forward to running her in mile-and-an-eighth races next year,” Brown said. “That was a really good race in the Oaks. If she can just get a couple of lengths faster as a 4-year-old, she’s a real player in these mile-and-an-eighth races all over the place next year.” ◗ Jockey Dylan Davis will serve a three-day suspension (Saturday, Sunday, and Sept. 1) for a careless riding infraction from the sixth race on Aug. 12. Davis was aboard Mi Cara Mia Mine, who came out in the stretch and bumped Classic Lynne. Mi Cara Mia Mine finished third and Classic Lynne was fourth. The stewards put up the inquiry sign, but let the result stand.
