With the NHL’s successful 4 Nations Face-Off behind us, it’s time to focus on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, now fewer than two months away. We examine the current Stanley Cup championship sports betting odds below, and new customers can bet on NHL futures while taking advantage of the welcome promo offers at our top-rated sports betting sites and reap up to $6,350 in bonuses. Here’s a closer look at the five current favorites to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup in June, accompanied by their current best-value odds at the leading online sportsbooks. And unlike the NBA, by comparison, the list of leading Stanley Cup favorites doesn’t necessarily mirror the order of the current league standings.   Stanley Cup odds: Edmonton Oilers (+650 at FanDuel) The defending Western Conference champs currently are tied for the NHL’s seventh-highest point total at 72 entering play Wednesday night. However, the Oilers’ dynamic 1-2 punch of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid — who have won four of the last eight Hart Trophies and are currently ranked first and fourth, respectively, in points — make Edmonton the team to beat in oddsmakers’ eyes. But, hey, no pressure, though, as a Canadian team infamously hasn’t hoisted the Cup since Montreal in 1993. BetMGM Sportsbook reports that it had written its highest percentage (9.1) of Stanley Cup tickets on the Oilers as of Wednesday. Stanley Cup odds: Carolina Hurricanes (+850 at Fanatics) Carolina is the current consensus Eastern Conference favorite despite trailing the Washington Capitals by a full 14 points in its own division. Is this the season the Hurricanes break through? Carolina has finished with 111 or more points in each of the last three seasons but hasn’t made it to the Stanley Cup Final since beating (interestingly) the Oilers in 2006.  Stanley Cup odds: Florida Panthers (+900 at Caesars) The defending-champion Panthers are currently battling the Toronto Maple Leafs for Atlantic Division supremacy. Florida is also seeking to join the Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins as back-to-back Stanley Cup champions in the last decade. But getting out of the East will be anything but easy. The Panthers don’t have a lot of believers as they’ve only attracted 4.2 percent of both the BetMGM Stanley Cup tickets and handle — the 10th most in each category. Stanley Cup odds: Dallas Stars (+950 at FanDuel) Dallas remains a perennial contender, reaching at least the conference final in three of the last five seasons. Currently, the Stars trail only the front-running Winnipeg Jets (85 points) in the Western Conference with 76 points and a plus-44 goal differential. However, reaching a second Stanley Cup Final in the last six years will be a challenge with the Oilers, Jets and 2023-champion Vegas Golden Knights potentially standing in the way. Stanley Cup odds: Washington Capitals (+1200 at DraftKings) The Caps opened the season down the list of favorites with +10000 Stanley Cup odds. But Alex Ovechkin and Crew currently reside atop the Metropolitan Division and Eastern Conference with 84 points — 10 more than the Atlantic Division-leading Maple Leafs. Playoff success, though, will almost surely prove trickier.  The Capitals certainly realize as much, having not made it the past the opening round (in five appearances) since winning it all in 2018.
